Loud and Proud

On the evening of February 2, 2010, Spotswood High School presented the Fourth Annual Poetry Out Loud Final Competition. Sixteen students presented two poems apiece and brought the words alive for their audience. Third place, second place, and first place was awarded. Spotswood High School is pleased to announce Marisa Pareti as the third place winner, Christopher Walker as the second place winner, and Alyssa VanFossen as the first place winner. Alyssa dazzled the judges with the recitation of Poor Angels by Edward Hirsch and Alone by Edgar Allen Poe. She will be advancing to the Region Two contest taking place on February 18, 2010 in Red Bank, New Jersey. Congratulations Alyssa!
